There are many different species of miner bee, many of which can't sting. The sting of the ones that can is very mild and they are not aggressive, so you'd have to very unlucky to get stung by one. Miner bees don't live in big colonies like wasps or honey bees and are nothing to be concerned about. In fact, by burrowing to plant eggs in the ground they are helping to aerate the soil so are actually doing you a favour!
